Terms and Conditions for HelperTask

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the HelperTask app ("App"), provided by an individual ("Provider," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using HelperTask, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. General Information

  These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. By using HelperTask, you consent to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.
• Global Availability:
  HelperTask is available for users worldwide.
• Privacy Policy:
  We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA, etc.). By using HelperTask, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described herein.

2. User Roles & Responsibilities

Owner

• Role:
  The Owner is the account holder who creates schedules, manages tasks, and invites Helpers.
• Subscription:
  Owners may subscribe on a monthly or annual basis. A 1-month free trial is provided. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled via the respective app store (App Store or Play Store).
• Account Security:
  Owners are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and any activity that occurs under their account.

Helper

• Role:
  Helpers are invited by an Owner to view and update daily tasks.
• Account Creation:
  Helpers cannot create their own accounts; they can only join HelperTask through an invitation from an Owner.
• Account Security:
  Helpers are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

3. Usage Guidelines & Intellectual Property

• Usage:
  You agree to use HelperTask solely for its intended purpose of managing household tasks and scheduling, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. While we do not impose additional restrictions beyond common standards, any misuse or interference with the App’s functionality may result in account termination.
• Intellectual Property:
  All content, design, and technology provided by HelperTask are the exclusive property of the Provider. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any part of the App is strictly prohibited.

4. Data Privacy & Security

HelperTask collects only the minimum personal information necessary for account creation and to provide the service (e.g., email address, usage data). We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable global privacy laws. By using HelperTask, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information as described.

5. Liability & Disclaimers

HelperTask is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the App. In no event shall the Provider be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. You agree to use HelperTask at your own risk.

6. Termination & Account Deletion

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any account at any time, without notice, for any reason, including (but not limited to) misuse or violation of these Terms.

Account Termination by the User (Owner):

• Owners may terminate their subscription and account at any time.
• Upon termination, your access to HelperTask will be revoked.
• If you wish to permanently delete your account (and all associated data), please contact us at (https://www.helpertask.app/account-deletion) with your request. We will process your deletion request within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
• Please note that once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered and all data associated with your account will be permanently removed, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Updates to the Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. We will notify you of any material changes via the App and/or email (if provided). Continued use of HelperTask after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By using HelperTask, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
